Available Models

When generating images with Ideogram, you can choose between different model versions. Each version offers distinct characteristics that determine image quality, style fidelity, and performance.

Your selected model affects how Ideogram interprets your prompt, the level of detail in the output, and the consistency across generations.

To select a model:

  1. Select the Prompt Box to expand it (if not already expanded) and display the generation settings.

  2. Select Model + variations (displayed as the actual model and number of images, for example, 3.0 Default x 4) to open the dropdown menu.

  3. Choose the Model, Number of images (1–4), and Render speed.

Model Versions

  • Version 3.0 (latest) — The most recent iteration of Model 3.0, released on May 1, 2025.

  • Version 3.0 (March 26) — Released on March 26, 2025.

  • Version 2a — Released on February 27, 2025.

  • Version 2.0 — Released on August 21, 2024.

  • Version 1.0 — Released on February 28, 2024.

  • Version 0.2 (retired) — Released on November 2, 2023, and retired in January 2025 and is no longer available.

  • Version 0.1 (retired) — The first Ideogram model, launched on August 29, 2023, has been retired and is no longer available.
