Describe is a powerful feature that allows you to detail the content of an image, whether it is uploaded or generated by Ideogram. This feature is particularly useful when you want to determine the kind of wording that could be used in a prompt to generate a similar image.
When viewing images in feeds.
While browsing images in any section, hover on an image and click on the "More" icon located at the bottom right of the image and select Describe.
When viewing an image in details.
When using Remix on an image.
When uploading or pasting an image in the prompt box.
When you activate the Describe function, the AI will analyze your image and generate a suitable prompt that describes the content of the submitted image.

When viewing an image in details, click the Describe butto . Alternatively, click on the "More" icon in the upper right corner.
When remixing an image, click the Remix tab at the bottom of the prompt box, hover your mouse on the image, then click on the Describe icon in the popup menu.
Below are examples of real photographs where the Describe function was used, and Ideogram’s AI was asked to generate the corresponding images without using the or features.
If the result you get from Describe doesn’t meet your expectations, try using the to crop your original image to a different or zoom in on the main subject. This may generate a slightly different prompt that could lead to a better image.
