Depending on the version of Ideogram you choose to use when generating images, you’ll have access to a different selection of aspect ratios.
You can access the aspect ratio option on the right side of the prompt area, among other options.
The table below shows the available default aspect ratios for each model and the size of the generated images they will produce respectively.

Click on the down arrow to the right of the ratio button to access aspect ratio presets.
1:3
– Very tall banner.
1:2
– version 2.0 only Tall vertical format. Sometimes used in arts.
9:16
– Ideal for vertical display on smartphones and some social networking sites.
10:16
– Portrait format used in Ideogram versions 0.1 and 0.2.
2:3
– Portrait format mainly used in digital photography and poster printing.
3:4
– Portrait aspect ratio mainly used in film photography.
4:5
– Portrait aspect ratio mainly used in film photography.
1:1
– A square format, often used in social media and image sites.
5:4
– Landscape aspect ratio mainly used in film photography.
4:3
– Landscape format, used by old traditional standard definition television. Also used in film photography.
3:2
– Popular landscape format used in digital photography and printing.
16:10
– Landscape format used in Ideogram versions 0.1 and 0.2.
16:9
– Landscape format used in today's horizontal screens, such as your TV.
2:1
– Large banner. Format used in 360° equirectangular panoramas.
3:1
– Very large banner.
In version 2.0, users with Plus and Plus subscriptions have access to customized aspect ratios (in addition to predefined ratios) in two different ways:
By using the slider under the Aspect Ratio preview. This allows access to many custom sizes that are not available as presets.
By clicking the Custom button and manually entering the desired aspect ratio or width and height in pixels. The interface will then resize the format to the nearest supported size and ratio, anywhere between 1:3 and 3:1.
You can only choose from these three aspect ratios to generate your images with model version 0.2:
