With Ideogram’s Editor feature, you can modify an image as you see fit, including cropping, resizing, tweaking, and making adjustments that will be considered along with your prompt the next time you remix it. You can even use it to design, from scratch, the visual composition of the image you want to achieve.
While browsing images in any section, hover over an image, click the "More" icon located at the bottom right of the image and select Edit in Editor.
Alternatively, while in the prompt area, you can either:
In the Editor, you have various tools available to you.
Crop Tool: Used to resize, enlarge, or reduce an image, or to change its aspect ratio.
Zoom Tool: Used to zoom in and position the image so you’re more comfortable making modifications. This tool does not alter the image in any way.
Drawing Tool: Use this tool to draw within the image.
Pen Thickness: Set the thickness of the drawing tool using the slider or by entering a number between 1 and 100.
Predefined Thickness: Provides 4 predefined drawing tool thicknesses for easy access.
Eyedropper: This tool lets you select the drawing tool color directly from the existing image. You can also activate this tool by control-clicking (CTRL-click on PC) or by two-finger tapping on the image.
Color Selector: Use this tool to manually select the desired color.
Undo/Redo: Reverse the last action or reapply the last undone action.
Cancel: Exit the Editor without saving. You will return to the prompt area.
Private/Public: Choose whether your drawing should be private or public. Private edits are available only to Ideogram Plus subscribers and above.
Save: Save your changes and return to the prompt area.
When you select the Crop Tool, a different toolbar will appear at the bottom.
Aspect Ratios: Choose the aspect ratio for your image. You can click on the down arrow on the right to see all the available aspect ratios.
Zoom: Visualize the percentage of magnification for the image. You can use the + and - buttons to magnify or reduce the image (or pinch to adjust on mobile) to your liking.
Cancel: Use this option if you want to leave the Crop Tool without saving.
Crop: When you are ready to crop your image, save it and return to the Editor.
You can use the editor to create any image from scratch and let Ideogram generate an enhanced version based on your drawing and prompt.
Once the drawing is complete and saved, simply run a remix on it using a suitable prompt to describe what you want in the final image.
Prompt: Illustration of a frog on a country road at sunset. Model: Ideogram version 2.0 Remixed image weight of 45/100 Magic Prompt: Off Style: General Rendering: Default
Result:
You can remove unwanted elements from the image by using the pen tool and selecting the background color. In this example, the placeholder text on the menu design was removed, leaving space for a blank copywriting area.
In this case, the little spots around the pets were removed and a little patch of gold/brown removed from the dog's fur.
Click the Editor icon on the right-hand side of the image if you already have an image from a previous generation.
Click the Editor icon to access the feature and start from a new blank canvas.
