PNG are original images at 100% quality.* {% endhint %} ## The Credit System Ideogram uses a credit system for all generations in all available templates and will depend on certain parameters used, such as [Rendering](https://docs.ideogram.ai/using-ideogram/generation-settings/render-speed), when generating images. Ideogram uses a credit system for all image generations. The credit cost depends on various parameters, such as the Rendering setting, which determines the level of detail when generating images. Certain tools, such as Batch Generation, exclusively use Priority credits. ### **Slow Credits** Generations that are made with **Slow credits** may have wait times of up to several minutes, depending on 1- available server capacity and 2- your recent usage of the slow queue since the last billing date. This is to ensure a fair experience for all users in the slow queue. {% hint style="danger" %} Any unused Priority credits awarded through the monthly plan will expire at the end of each monthly billing cycle. However, **Priority credits** purchased as a top-up will roll over to the next month and will only be used after your monthly **Priority credits** are depleted. If you cancel your subscription, any unused credits will expire at the end of the current billing period. The same applies to Slow credits for existing subscribers on the legacy Basic plan. {% endhint %} ## Priority Credits Top-Up When you exhaust your monthly allocation of Priority credits, you automatically switch to using Slow credits. If you wish, you can get more Priority credits by purchasing a Priority credits top-up. #### Benefits: * Top-up credit packs cost $4 USD each. One pack adds 100 credits to users of the legacy Basic plan, 150 credits to Plus, or 250 credits to Pro/Team, making the cost per credit lowest for Pro/Team users. You may purchase up to 10 packs per transaction. * Any unused **Priority credits** purchased via a top-up will roll over to the following month and will only be used if you exhaust your monthly Priority credits. These rolled-over credits will continue to carry over month-to-month until they are fully used. #### Usage order: Credits will be used in the following order: Monthly Priority credits > Top-up Priority credits > Slow credits #### How to Purchase Top-Up Priority Credits 1. Open the **Profile panel** by clicking your **Profile icon** located at the bottom of the left-side panel of the page. 2. Click on **Top up credits.**

A window will appear where you can select how many stacks (up to 10) of 100 credits you want to purchase. You will also be able to adjust the number of stacks in the payment window if needed. Click the button on the right side to proceed to the payment window.

## Purchasing a Plan When you want to purchase a plan for the first time, simply click on the "Upgrade" button in the top right-hand corner.

Alternatively, click on your **Profile icon** located at the bottom of the left-side panel and then click the "Upgrade Plan" button.

You will then access the Ideogram pricing page, where you can compare and choose the plan (Plus, Pro or Team) and billing frequency (Annual or Monthly) that best suits your needs.
