Generating Images
Ideogram's main features allow you to browse and generate images from text. Within the user interface, you can generate images, browse and filter previously generated images, curate your user profile, manage your subscription, and more.
Generation
To create an image in the simplest way, type the description of what you want to see in the Prompt Box, then click the arrow-up submit button. On mobile, tap the + button to open the generation panel first.

At the top of the screen, click the input text box to type a description of what you want Ideogram to generate, then click the arrow-up submit button to start the process.
At the bottom of the screen, tap the + button to open the generation panel and type a description of what you want Ideogram to generate. Tap the arrow-up submit button to start the generation.
Prompts and generations are visible to everyone on Ideogram unless you choose to generate privately where Private Generations are available.
Choose the number of images using the buttons below your prompt. Many image-generation flows support 1-4 outputs. Feel free to play around with the other settings as well, allowing you to customize aspect ratio, resolution, model used, and more. Credit usage scales with the number of output images and selected model/render speed.
After waiting a few seconds, your completed generation appears in the image grid. Congratulations on generating your first image or set of images! Next, we'll go through all of the actions you can take using your new generation!

Generation actions
When you click on one of the generated images, an information panel will appear—on the right side if you’re on a desktop computer, or pop-up from below if you’re on a mobile device—offering several additional actions.

From this panel, you can take all sorts of actions. For example, you can Pin the image to your profile, Share your image, Download your image, make the image public or private (Subscription), Retry generating images with the same prompt and options, and more! The list goes on and on. Don't worry, we'll go through the other actions further down the page.
As a quick peek, clicking on the More icon
will give you access to every available action with respect to your currently open image.
